Don Johnson is returning to TV in a new comedy pilot from Fox called Daddy Issues. The Miami Vice actor will star alongside Erin Foster, who will also serve as writer and executive producer of the series.

The sitcom is loosely based off Foster’s real life. Andi (Foster) is single and 30-something and refuses to settle down. Her world is turned upside down when she discovers her playboy dad, Roman (Johnson), has fallen in love with her best friend.

Roman is narcissistic and only dates younger women to try and fill the void in his life left after his divorce. But he thinks a woman he’s recently met could be “the one.”

Foster is the daughter of David Foster, the Grammy-winning music producer, who’s been married four times.
