‘Fashion Police’ Ending With Series Finale Tribute to Joan Rivers
After 20 years of insults, laughs, and top fashion moments, E!’s comic series Fashion Police is coming to an end. The long-running franchise will air its series finale episode on Monday, November 27, and it’ll be a tribute piece to the late, great Joan Rivers.
Joan started the show, which breaks down red carpet looks from Hollywood’s top events like the Grammys and Oscars, in 1995, and after her passing in 2014, her daughter, Melissa Rivers, took over the series.
Melissa serves as executive producer and co-host along with the current panel of experts including Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, NeNe Leakes, and Margaret Cho. Fashion Police also welcomes celebrities onto the program to comment on fashion, with stars such as Gigi Hadid, Nicki Minaj, and Tim Gunn having appeared on the show.
“Joan’s beloved no-holds-barred style fueled the franchise’s clever approach to fashion and comedy, and we are incredibly proud of its long-running success,” Adam Stotsky, President, E!, said in a press release.
Melissa added, “Thank you to E! for having the vision to see the potential of Fashion Police which changed both the entertainment and fashion industries. I am truly proud to be part of this legacy.”
The upcoming Fashion Police: The Farewell episode will commemorate the show’s success and round up the most outrageous, hysterical and unforgettable moments from segments like “Bitch Stole My Look,” “Guess Me From Behind,” and “Starlet or Streetwalker.”
The special will also show fans never-before-seen footage with the cast and crew. Plus, it’ll detail what actually went on behind the scenes.
