‘The Big Bang Theory’: Sheldon and Amy Will Finally Have Sex

The Big Bang Theory‘s Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) are boldly going where they have never gone before!

The fan-favorite scientists will engage in coitus on the December 17 episode of the CBS comedy, TV Insider can confirm.

“After over five years of dating, we felt the time was right for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship,” says showrunner Steve Molaro. “We’re so excited for the audience to see the journey over the next several episodes.”

Even though Sheldon and Amy are doing the deed, the status of their romance is still unclear after officially splitting as a couple earlier this season. In this week’s new episode, airing November 19, the two try to hang out as friends by spending Thanksgiving at the aquarium.
