Nick Cannon’s got talent, but can he dance non-stop for 24 hours?

The America’s Got Talent host will kick off NBC’s “Red Nose Day” festivities by attempting to dance for an entire day. Red Nose Day Danceathon with Nick Cannon will stream live on NBC.com beginning Wednesday, May 20.

The event, held at the NBC Experience Store at Rockefeller Center in New York City, will feature guest DJs and musicians, celebrity drop-ins, and a variety of dance acts and troupes. Viewers will be asked to support Cannon’s endeavor through sponsorships and donations.

Based on a long-running British event of the same name, the U.S. Red Nose Day will air Thursday, May 21 at 8/7c and will include comedy performances, videos from Funny or Die and musical performances.

Director/writer Richard Curtis (Notting Hill, Bridget Jones Diary, Love Actually) first created Red Nose Day 30 years ago. The annual U.K. event has raised more than $1 billion; this is the first U.S. edition.

Money is raised by fundraising events, donations, and the sale of red noses at Walgreens and Duane Reade drugstores.
