The concept of “Faking” as it relates to truTV’s Fake Off is a little hard to pin down. Essentially, troops of people create vignettes involving dance and acrobatics and fight choreography and visual effects, all built around a central theme. On the show, these performances are judged by a panel of experts, including wicked pop-and-locker Harry Shum, Jr. from Glee. (And hey, there’s High School Musical‘s Corbin Bleu as host.)

The second season premieres May 6 (10/9c), and will feature this cool kung fu homage from a group called “On the Fly” that also involves professional kung fu homage-er Quentin Tarantino’s work—plus an Avatar: The Last Airbender reference. If you’re still confused, just watch this exclusive clip from the premiere and it’ll all make sense.
