Kids say the darndest things. So do Muppets. Why not mix ’em up, add a hot topic, and see what happens? On April 3, Disney Junior launches a new short-form series, Muppet Moments, featuring Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and their pals in lively gab sessions with preschoolers. They’ll discuss subjects that are of big interest to little people (hugs, playing ball, ordering pizza) and a few that maybe aren’t (listening to others, good manners, making apologies).

“The Muppets are geniuses at improv but there are no greater masters at it than kids,” says Nancy Kanter, Disney Junior’s executive vice president of original programming. “Children have no barriers. They don’t even see the Muppeteer right there manipulating Kermit’s sticks. They just totally believe.”

Mom and Dad will appreciate the takeaway. “Life lessons from the Muppets,” notes Kanter, “can be a great conversation starter for parents and kids.” New spots will air daily through May 8 and will also be available via the WATCH Disney Junior app. Here’s an exclusive TV Insider preview:
