‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Cast Reunites
Now this is a story all about how there was an unofficial reunion among most of the main cast members of the classic 1990-96 sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on Monday, as seen in an Instagram post from series costar Alfonso Ribeiro (who played Carlton).
“Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” Ribeiro wrote in the post, accompanying the picture of himself with fellow stars Will Smith (Will), Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Daphne Reid (the second actress to play Aunt Viv) and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey). The group was all smiles and in fun spirits as they posed at what appeared to be a beachfront restaurant.
“Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete,” Ribeiro also wrote. Avery, who played Uncle Phil, passed away in 2013.
Also absent from the photo was Janet Hubert, the original actress who played Aunt Viv, and who has had a long-running feud with Will Smith.
