New Seasons of ‘St. Denis’ & ‘Reggie Dinkins,’ Dancing to Disney, New ‘Foul Play’ Pranks
New seasons of NBC‘s St. Denis Medical and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins bring comedy to Mondays. Dancing With the Stars moves to Monday ahead of Election Night for its annual Disney celebration. The NBA‘s Anthony Davis returns with a new season of his Foul Play prank show.

St. Denis Medical
The doctors and nurses are in — stitches, when the medical mockumentary sitcom welcomes Damon Wayans as guest star for the Season 3 opener. He’s the relentlessly upbeat Dr. Highland, temporary replacement for the much grouchier emergency doc Ron (David Alan Grier), who’s still recovering from heart surgery. In a scene recalling their chemistry as scene partners on In Living Color, Wayans and Grier memorably spar, while supervising nurse Alex (Allison Tolman) faces blowback over her skepticism of Highland’s patronizing and performative cheer. In other developments, Joyce (Wendi McLendon-Covey) lobbies for votes for Oregon’s Best Hospital Administrator award, and Serena (Kahyun Kim) sees green over fellow nurse Matt’s (Mekki Leeper) churchgoing companion.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins
Disgraced football star Reggie (Tracy Morgan) still dreams of making the Hall of Fame, and as the wacky sitcom’s second season begins, he and ex-wife/manager Monica (Erika Alexander) hope to capitalize on the momentum of him getting a few first votes. They hire a new marketing pro (Saturday Night Live chameleon Jeremy Culhane) and book an interview with NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico, neither gambit going quite the way they expected. Same goes for filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Daniel Radcliffe), trying to milk drama from the forbidden courtship of Reggie’s son Carmelo (Jalyn Hall) and Delilah Basmati (Arica Himmel), daughter of Reggie’s arch-rival.

Dancing With the Stars
Relocated to Monday this week to make way for Tuesday’s Election Night coverage, the competition gets tight for the eight remaining couples on “Disney Night,” performing a team dance in addition to their solo routines. Tony winner and Wicked alum Cynthia Erivo is the guest judge, with musical guests Heather Headley, Rodney Ingram, Michael James Scott, and Kyra Belle Johnson performing as the couples attempt Quickstep, Contemporary, Jazz, Samba, Waltz, and Paso Doble dances to songs from Hercules, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, the musicals Aida and Hamilton, and more. Hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough join “Team Slaytopia,” captained by Tatyana Ali, and “Team Wildcats,” captained by Connor Wood, for team dances inspired by Zootopia 2 and High School Musical.

Foul Play with Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis of the Washington Wizards, a 10-time NBA All-Star, conjures mischief in the second season of the hidden-camera prank show. In the supersized premiere, his targets include the NFL’s Tyrann Mathieu, surprised by a puppeteer meltdown during a children’s TV taping; Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray, whose dinner order goes awry; and former NBA forward Chandler Parsons, who experiences a T-shirt cannon mishap with the devious help of investor Mark Cuban.

I Dream of Jeannie
Nostalgia meets girl power as two memorable series from the 1960s and 1970s join Bewitched icon Elizabeth Montgomery on the vintage-TV channel’s daytime lineup. Barbara Eden (now 95) turned heads as the leading lady of I Dream of Jeannie (1965-70), playing a 2,000-year-old genie discovered by astronaut Tony Nelson (a pre-Dallas Larry Hagman), sparking one of TV’s more unusual will-they-or-won’t-they relationships. Following Jeannie, FETV adds The Bionic Woman to the schedule (3:10/2:10c), a spinoff of The Six Million Dollar Man, that aired on ABC and NBC from 1976 to 1978. Lindsay Wagner won a Lead Actress Emmy in 1977 as pro tennis player Jaime Sommers, a former girlfriend of Six Million Dollar‘s Steve Austin (Lee Majors) who’s equipped with bionic implants after a skydiving accident. Both series air in their original, uncut format, giving new generations a glimpse of some of the most formidable female talents of their decades.

While watching Tracker last night, I was in disbelief watching the nearly 50 year old Colter leap from a rooftop and end up hanging on a bar for his life. He was unscathed of course. If I reach my arm a bit too far to retrieve an object in the back seat of my car , my arm is out of whack for a while.
The bathroom and elevator brawls were fun to to watch.
Hoping for more realism with FBI and CIA tonight. The always believable Law and Order:CI Toronto is a must watch for me as well.
I’ll catch up with the NBC comedies at a later time.
