What To Know

  • Todd Chrisley revealed on the Dumb Blonde podcast that he worked as an escort at 18.
  • He said it began after he met a woman while working as a waiter at Cheesecake Factory.
  • Todd and his wife, Julie, were pardoned by Donald Trump in 2025 after serving over two years for fraud.

Todd Chrisley has been a real estate broker, a reality television star, a convicted felon, and, it turns out, an escort when he was 18 and first moved to Los Angeles.

The Chrisley Knows Best alum made the confession on Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde podcast on Thursday (October 29). “I was an escort when I was 18 in Los Angeles,” he said, per Us Weekly. “I left South Carolina when I was 17. It’s in my book that’s coming out.”

Todd explained that it wasn’t a line of work he intentionally sought out; rather, it came about while he was working as a waiter at Cheesecake Factory. “I met this woman,” he recalled. “I worked at the original Cheesecake Factory as a waiter in Marina del Ray. I remember waiting the tables this night, and there were, like, six or seven good-looking women.”

As the night came to a close, Todd remembered receiving an $800 tip and a special request from a limousine driver. “He said, ‘My lady would like to speak with you. She said you were their server this evening,'” the reality TV personality explained. “I go over, and she lets the window down, and she says, ‘Great service tonight.'”

Todd said the woman offered to drop him off at home, an offer he accepted. “She didn’t drop me,” he continued. “Let’s just say it turned into a very quick encounter. I’m thinking, as the sunroof is open, I’m banging this woman as we’re driving through L.A. She was 38.”

He started seeing the woman, whom he didn’t name, but said he later found out she was married, a fact that “devastated” him. Todd broke the relationship off but started seeing another woman, adding, “I was a magnet to that.”

Todd later married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Terry, in 1990, and they had two children, Lindsie Chrisley and Kyle Chrisley. They separated in 1993 and divorced in 1996. He went on to marry his current wife, Julie Chrisley, in May 1996. Todd and Julie share three biological children: Chase, Savannah, and Grayson, as well as Kyle’s daughter, Chloe, whom they legally adopted.

In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of bank and tax fraud and sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison. Todd served his time at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, while Julie was locked up at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

They spent just over two years behind bars before President Donald Trump issued them full pardons on May 27, 2025. However, earlier this month, reports said the couple is again in trouble with the Internal Revenue Service after failing to pay more than $1.5 million in federal taxes.
