Marshals left two main characters’ fates up in the air after an explosive cliffhanger in Season 2 Episode 4 on October 25, but the promo for the next installment of the two-part episode reveals that one of them survived the blast. Is the other in danger of dying? Warning: Marshals Season 2 spoilers ahead!

Marshals Season 2 Episode 4 saw Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos) on an off-hours fugitive hunt that unexpectedly revealed the whereabouts of a notorious bomber who previously slipped through Cal’s (Logan Marshall-Green) fingers. The bomber was Rudy Carpenter (Braxton Hale), a survivalist Kayce and Cal encountered in the Montana woods in Marshals Season 1 and let get away.

Kayce and Andrea eventually found Rudy at an abandoned farm where he had been testing explosives. Rudy detonated one of the weapons, and it went off before Kayce and Andrea could run away. They were flown back in the blast, and the episode ended on a “To Be Continued” title card.

Kayce is alive in the promo for Marshals Season 2 Episode 5 (above), but Andrea isn’t seen in the barn.

The logline for the episode, titled “Secret Weapon,” says that the bombing was a “close call,” and episodic photos (above) show Andrea at work, so she appears to survive as well, but if surviving that bomb is just Part 1 of this story, what danger lies ahead in Part 2?

Here’s the official logline for the episode: “After a close call with a suicide bomber, the Marshals hunt for a co-conspirator armed with an even larger explosive. The trail leads them to a suspect’s family whose deep distrust of the government makes getting answers nearly impossible.”

After this Marshals doubleheader, the Yellowstone spinoff will go on a break on November 8 and return on November 15 with a special episode about Mo (Mo Brings Plenty).

Cupertino will air in Marshals and Tracker‘s places on November 8 to give Sunday night audiences a taste of the new series, which airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on CBS.
