‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Has Heartbreaking $88,000 Loss After Near-Perfect Game

"Wheel of Fortune" ocntestnat Myles Jenkins on October 20, 2026

A Wheel of Fortune contestant played an amazing, almost perfect, game but suffered Bonus Round heartbreak when they lost out on taking home $88,000.

Myles Jenkins, from Rogers, Arkansas, solved three Fortune Frenzies on October 20. He volunteered for the Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, this year. Jenkins played against Anju Prakash, from Fremont, California, who solved one Fortune Frenzy, and Joy White, from Conroe, Texas.

During the first puzzle, Jenkins obtained the Wild Card, and Prakash got the One Million Dollar Wedge. With only one letter left to solve, Jenkins solved “Baseball, Backgammon, & Boggle.” This bumped his total up to $7,150.

Jenkins found the Hit It Rich coin on the next puzzle. He solved “Lights, Camera, Action!” Since no one else had any money, he just won his $2,500. He also solved the prize puzzle — “Whale Watching At Sunset” — for a trip to Cabo. This gave him $28,630.

Prakash, who loves doing yoga and going for hikes and walks with her family, knew her historical figures when she solved two of the three Triple Toss-ups, giving her $5,000. White, who learned from her mother to always find something she likes about someone she first meets, solved one of them, putting her on the board with $2,000.

Jenkins put his bank at $38,780 when he solved “Fine Art Collection.” Prakash solved the final puzzle — “Go the Extra Mile” — which gave her a final total of $6,700.

White left with $2,000. Jenkins was the night’s winner with $38,780. For his Bonus Round category, he chose “Phrase.”

Wheel of Fortune gave him “R,S,T,LN, and E.” The game show contestant rounded out his puzzle with “C,M,D, A, and G.”

The puzzle then looked like “_ _LL_   _ _AL_ _ _ED.” As the clock counted down, Jenkins was stuck on the first word. “Valley, Rally,” he said. He couldn’t figure out “Fully Qualified.”

“Where do you go, right?” host Ryan Seacrest said. Jenkins lost out on taking home an additional $50,000, which would have given him $88,780.

“That’s a-okay,” the contestant said.

“It’s more than okay,” the host replied.

“Myles did really well. He was solving puzzles left and right,” a Reddit user said.
