‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans React After Ryan Seacrest Wears Big Hoop Earrings

It might be NBA week on Wheel of Fortune, but host Ryan Seacrest was sporting his own hoops. The moment came after a contestant had a wild celebration after solving a puzzle.

On October 14, Timenee Thomas, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, solved the  “Before & After” puzzle — “Liquid Paper Towels.” She took the lead with $11,150.

The San Antonio Spurs fan jumped up and down, causing her huge hoop earrings to fall off. “Oh Gosh!” she said. Seacrest leaned down to pick up the earring that fell. “I’m just going to take them off, Ryan.”

The earring, which was nearly half the size of his head, was a big silver hoop. Seacret put the one earring in his ear. “What do you think?” he asked. Thomas then handed him the other hoop, and the host put both of them in his ears.

“I don’t know if this one will stay in,” he said, as the earring fell off. “But we’ll figure it out.”

Thomas laughed and put her hands up to her face. “How do you do these?” Seacrest asked. He finally got them both to rest in his ears, which made Thomas laugh even more. Seacrest does not have any known real piercings or tattoos.

Despite Seacrest wearing her earrings, it did not bring her luck. She left the game in second place with $13,150. Mike Gonzalez, from Jensen Beach, Florida, won the game with $70,000.

The moment was posted to the game show‘s Instagram page. “Ryan with some impromptu accessorizing  #WheelOfFortune #GameShow,” the post was captioned with a laughing emoji.
