Jimmy Kimmel Unveils Nickname for Trump’s New White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia

Jimmy Kimmel gave his verdict on President Donald Trump‘s new White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, on Tuesday night (October 13), just hours after her disastrous press briefing debut. And he unveiled his nickname for her.

“It was the first day of kindergarten for the new White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia,” the late-night host said on Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! “You know, Trump’s been president for quite a long time now. I think it’s been about what? 50, 60 years? And in order to keep him awake and interested, every six months they bring in a new fawning blonde dolt to add to the rotation.”

Kimmel noted that things didn’t get off to the best of starts for “Malibu Katie,” saying, “Her first briefing was brief. It was only 14 minutes long, but even in that short time, she accomplished exactly what she was brought in to do, which is slobber a whole tube of lip gloss all over the president’s behind.”

The comedian aired clips from Zacharia’s briefing, where she praised Trump and said she’s “wanted to work for him for a very long time.”

“And really, that’s all it takes nowadays,” Kimmel responded. “All it takes is that and dressing like you’re about to announce pre-boarding on a Delta Airlines flight.”

Kimmel also poked fun at Zacharia’s stilted delivery, quipping, “Her reading is good for an 11-year-old. [Trump] hired a fourth grader to be press secretary.”

The comedian went on to call Zacharia a “real piece of work” who made her name “calling Democrats pedophiles on social media” and “giving weight to Pizza-gate… so I’m sure she’ll immediately call for everyone named in the Trump-Epstein files to face the full extent of the law.”

He also shared a montage of some of her “hottest takes,” including false claims that the 2020 election was stolen, attacks on Anthony Fauci, calling Kimmel himself “a laughing stock,” and predicting The Odyssey would be a box office flop because it was a “woke movie.”

“Well, that woke movie went on to make $1.8 billion,” Kimmel retorted. “We got a smart one here.”

He then turned his attention to a slip-up Zacharia made during her briefing, where she accidentally said “my president” instead of “my husband” when talking about her family.

“Oops! Somebody’s going to wake up in the middle of the night tonight eye to eye with Natalie Harp clutching a kitchen knife,” Kimmel joked.

He also highlighted the questions surrounding Zacharia’s supposed background as a lawyer. “Trump’s been saying she’s a lawyer. So today they were out at the gaggle, and a reporter asked where she’s licensed to practice law, which is a question the president, based on this reaction you will see, also forgot to ask,” Kimmel said.

In the clip, Zacharia responded to the question of where she passed the bar, saying, “When I moved to China.” Trump appeared to look confused.

“He’s like, ‘Oh boy. Even my press secretary is made in China!,'” Kimmel quipped.
