On Thursday, Allen shared an Instagram video of himself with blood running down his head. “I was just robbed of my watch outside of Laurel Supply,” he said, referring to the West Hollywood organic market on the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard off Holloway Drive. “These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off. They had masks on. They took my watch, though.”
The actor also posted apparent security-camera footage of two people confronting him and one person assaulting him.
“West Hollywood is not safe anymore,” he wrote in the caption. “Robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men that threatened to KILL me over my watch and would have! God said no tonight. My life for a watch.”
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said deputies responded to a robbery report at the store around 9:05 p.m. local time on Thursday. The department said an unspecified victim told deputies that “one suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victim while the other pointed a knife and demanded the victim’s watch and bracelet.” And shortly thereafter, the department said, the victim “was struck in the face with the handgun.”
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact West Hollywood Station detectives at (310) 855-8850, the Times adds.
