Carrot Top Accused of Sexual Exploitation in Lawsuit

Carrot Top, the comedian currently recovering from a suicide attempt, has been accused of sexual exploitation as part of an ongoing lawsuit.

The new allegation comes in a declaration that 25-year-old Zachary Defazio filed on Monday, September 14, to support a federal lawsuit that singer Brian Evans filed against Carrot Top, according to Orlando Weekly. In his declaration, Defazio called himself “a second independent victim” of the comedy star, whose real name is Scott Thompson.

“I am coming forward in Evans’ cases because what he has told this Court about Thompson’s pattern, as it concerns me, is true, and because I support him,” Defazio’s declaration reads.

Defazio alleged in his declaration that Thompson sexually exploited him and supplied him with alcohol at Thompson’s home in Winter Park, Florida, in 2021, while Defazio was 19. Defazio, who previously took legal action against Thompson in June 2025 and offered to settle for $7.5 million, has also alleged that Thompson engaged in nonconsensual conduct with Defazio while Defazio was too drunk to consent, Orlando Weekly reports.

Evans, a former opener for Thompson at the comedian’s Las Vegas show, filed his lawsuit in August in Broward County, Florida, the publication adds. Evans alleged that in 2022 or 2023 Thompson sent an unsolicited video of himself engaging in oral sex with someone Evans said was “significantly younger” than Thompson. Evans recalled being “immediately shocked, disturbed and offended.”

In 2024, Evans signed a settlement agreement with Thompson — because of representations by Thompson “concerning future professional assistance and entertainment opportunities,” he said — but now wants that settlement thrown out.

On Friday, September 18, Thompson was hospitalized after a suicide attempt in Las Vegas, TMZ reported that day. “Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs,” a rep told the site. “His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy.”
