‘Expedition X’ Sneak Peek: Jack Osbourne Joins Search for Revolutionary War Ghosts

Josh Gates, Phil Torres, and Heather Amaro have been logging those frequent flyer miles on their adventures for Season 12 of Expedition X. During the September 16 finale of the Discovery Channel series, Torres and Amaro link up with Jack Osbourne to investigate historic battlefields of Pennsylvania. 

This is timed perfectly with America’s 250th birthday celebration as the brave souls look into reports of Revolutionary War ghosts believed to still be roaming the grounds surrounding the Brandywine River.  The site is known for the Battle of Brandywine, the largest single-day land battle where General George Washington tried to block the British army from crossing the river and capturing the American capitol of Philadelphia on September 11, 1777. The British ultimately won on this occasion. 

Perhaps, the soldiers on that day may still be making their presence felt. At least that’s what the team checks in to find out. The network has shared an exclusive clip above to see what viewers could expect. The teaser opens with Amaro busting out an Ovilus. The tool is typically used to attempt communication with the paranormal. It collects atmospheric data using censors. That information translates into spoken words. At the same time, Jack utilizes a Mel Meter to monitor EMF (Electromagnetic Field) fluctuations and sudden changes in temperature. These conditions are often associated with a spirit. They lay out a series of flashlights instructing any presence there to turn them on or off during a line of questioning.

Jack mentioned there were reports of a very stern British guard there. He said they’ll ask yes or no questions. There were metal objects on the floor that he wanted the presence to touch if the answer was yes. Heather asked if the potential spirit battled in Brandywine. They heard 11, which could have been the number of soldiers or related to the battle that took place on September 11. Then the word creek was said. They recalled being told the creek nearby ran red with blood. Jack questioned if this was a sign to head to Sandy Hollow. The high-ground locale in Birmingham Township was where the Continental Army made one last push dubbed the “sunset stand.” The flashlight turns on and makes an uneasy sound at that moment. We’ll have to wait for the episode to see what happens next.

Osbourne has been heavily involved in the paranormal game in a professional capacity over the last 15 years starting with Haunted Highway. He also worked on Portals to Hell and even shared experiences with his family including late dad Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away last July.
