‘Reacher’ Spinoff ‘Neagley’ Renewed for Season 2
After one season of taking the lead, Reacher spinoff Neagley has been renewed for Season 2 at Prime Video.
Season 1 saw Jack Reacher’s (Alan Ritchson) most trusted ally, Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), finally leading the charge when the death of a friend sent her digging into a mystery that forced her to confront parts of her own life she would rather leave buried.
Per Variety, the renewal comes just days after Reacher was renewed for Season 6 while Season 5 of the Ritchson-led action series is still in production, ensuring there’s plenty more ahead for Prime Video’s expanding Reacher universe.
Here’s what we know so far about Neagley Season 2 and what’s ahead for the spinoff.
Will there be a Season 2 of Neagley?
Yes. News of a second season broke on October 1, per Variety. There is no premiere date at this time, but please check back for updates.

What is Neagley about?
The Prime Video stars Maria Sten as tough-as-nails Frances Neagley, a private investigator based in Chicago and a former military colleague of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. When she learns that an old friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she looks into the death and begins to investigate.
Who will star in Neagley Season 2?
For now, expect everyone who survived the first season. Maria Sten will reprise her role as Frances Neagley, while Greyston Holt will return as Detective Hudson Riley, a cop looking for redemption from his shady past. Jasper Jones will play Keno, and Adeline Rudolph should return as Renee Birdwhistle. Reacher star Alan Ritchson may pop up in a guest-starring role.
How did Neagley Season 1 end?
Neagley and her team storm the Echo Canyon facility, destroying the compound and leaving cult leader Lawrence Cole (Damon Herriman) to die in the underground explosion. She then tracks down billionaire financier Arvid Rawlings (Peter Outerbridge), injects him with Tranqlara, and watches as the drug sends him wandering into traffic to his death.
The finale also reveals the source of Neagley’s haphephobia. As a child, she was traumatized after her father killed the predator who had abused her childhood friend Tommy Crane (Jhaleil Swaby). After her father’s funeral, Neagley finally begins confronting that past and makes a major step toward trusting others by shaking Jack Reacher’s hand, a huge step for her. She also decides to start therapy as she takes over York Investigations in Chicago, giving herself and her team a permanent home base.

What will Neagley Season 2 be about?
As the season was just announced, no info is available yet on Season 2. However, when speaking with TV Insider, star Greyston Holt let us know what he would like to see. “Overall, I think we’ve set up this dynamic foursome between Kino, Rene, myself, and Neely,” said Holt. “And I think just watching that dynamic grow is gonna be a big part of our Season 2. For me personally, it’s exploring the relationship with my father and my family more. I think there’s so much more to explore there.”
Holt continued: “And then, who knows what kind of villain they’re cooking up. That’s always the most exciting thing, because you can kind of more or less picture our dynamic, we’re going to go through some crazy shit, there will be fights, explosions, bad guys, people will die,” Holt continued. “But I don’t know what that antagonist is gonna be next season, and I can’t wait to see what the writers have cooked up. Knock on wood.”
How does Neagley tie in to Reacher?
Frances Neagley is a former military colleague of Jack Reacher’s, as well as his closest friend and most trusted confidante. Before meeting her, he once stated that he “trusted her with his life on countless occasions; she hasn’t let me down once.”

Reacher hand-selected her for the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit, where she was a Master Sergeant and the only enlisted soldier Reacher chose for the unit. Like Reacher, she has an exceptional tactical mind and can match his physical capability in a fight.
It should be noted that Neagley suffers from haphephobia (a profound fear of physical touch), which was established in the Reacher series. Reacher explicitly respects this boundary, and she is one of the very few people he trusts with his life entirely.
Who is behind Neagley?
Neagley was created and co-showrun by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton. It is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, alongside executive producers Santora, Wootton, Lee Child, Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs, and Lisa Kussner.

Please let there be a Neagley season 2...pretty please make it happen. Season 1 was so good, I can't get enough of Maria Sten, she is "awesome". Also keep the original cast of Neagley, they work so well together.
