With the Dancing With the Stars cast reveal just a few weeks away, fans have been speculating like crazy about which celebrities may be joining the 35th season. One name that’s popped up a lot in recent weeks is Reece Weaver, the America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders star who ended her DCC career after the 2025 football season.
With the fan-favorite announcing her retirement in the finale of America’s Sweethearts Season 3 in June, the door was left open for plenty of future career opportunities, and DWTS has been floated around as one of them. However, the rumor was officially debunked on August 11 when Weaver’s actual next steps were confirmed.
The dancer will be starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway beginning on September 7. She’ll star in the iconic show for a six-week run that ends on October 18. Broadway and Dancing With the Stars are both full-time commitments, so there’s no shot that Weaver can do both at the same time. Season 35 of DWTS premieres on September 15.

DWTS fans will find out the full cast on September 2 when the reveal is made on Good Morning America. So far, Ciara Miller, Maura Higgins, Jackson Olson, and Guillermo Rodriguez have been confirmed as celebrities competing this season. We’ll learn who their professional partners are during the GMA reveal as well.
