‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Finally Hits Streaming: Where to Watch

Fans of The Devil Wears Prada waited literal decades to see what would be next for Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci), and the rest of the Runway collective. Fittingly, it was the first week of May (a.k.a. Met Gala era) earlier this year when The Devil Wears Prada 2 finally graced the big screen and brought a new ensemble to bear, too.

Directed by the first film’s auteur David Frankel from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna, the sequel introduced new characters portrayed by Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Caleb Hearon, and Helen J. Shen, and joining the returnees from the first film were Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 follows the Runway crew as they face the new challenges of the magazine industry amid a major scandal that threatens the entire endeavor. Andy returns as an accomplished journalist who is recruited to Runway as a features editor, and Emily has moved on to run a luxury brand that brings her back into the magazine’s orbit in a major way.

The film was a smash hit at the box office, earning a whopping $690.8 million worldwide, with $220 million of that on the domestic front. It was also met with positive reviews from critics, earning a very respectable 78% on the Tomatometer.

It’s been months since The Devil Wears Prada 2 hit theaters and satisfied that nostalgic itch, and now, fans can finally catch the pic at home through subscription streaming.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is now available to watch for subscribers of Disney+ and Hulu. It first arrived on the Disney-parented services on Wednesday, July 29. The original 2006 film is also available on both services, as they were both produced by 20th Century Television, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company.
