Former Bond Girl Carey Lowell Makes Rare Appearance With Son Homer Gere at ‘The Shards’ Premiere

Carey Lowell just made a rare appearance with her son, Homer Gere, at the premiere of his new FX TV series The Shards.

On Monday, July 27, the former Bond girl, 65 — who played Pam Bouvier to Timothy Dalton‘s James Bond in the 1989 film License to Kill — posed for photos with Homer, 26, whom she welcomed with her ex-husband, Richard Gere, 76. (Carey also shares a daughter, Hannah Dunne, 36, with her ex-husband, actor and producer Griffin Dunne, 71.)

Both mother and son donned black looks for the premiere, held at the SVA Theatre in New York City.

In the early 2000s, Lowell stepped away from acting — and her role as Jamie Ross in Law & Order — to focus on raising her family and other pursuits. She later made guest appearances on the show; her most recent was in 2022. Later, she launched her own line of ceramics called Carrie Lowell Ceramics.

Ryan Murphy‘s The Shards stars Homer as Robert Mallory. The logline reads: “It’s the summer of 1981 in Los Angeles; a series of disturbing crimes coincides with the arrival of a strange new student in Bret’s orbit.” In addition to Homer, it stars Igby Rigney, Graham Campbell, Kaia Gerber, Haynes Warner, Evan Rachel Wood, Wes Bentley, Jordan Roth, Sierra Stoliar, Daniel Dale, and more.

Interestingly, Homer has a connection to Kaia beyond their Shards co-stardom; his dad, Richard, and her mom, Cindy Crawford, were married from 1991 to 1995.

Aside from The Shards, Homer is known for his role as Dylan Reid in Euphoria‘s third and final season. He is also set to appear in the upcoming film White Lies alongside an ensemble cast that includes Josh Hartnett, Michael Douglas, Willem Dafoe, Ellen Barkin, Leila George, and Yvonne Chapman.
