Is Ryan Paevey’s Cassius Dead on ‘General Hospital’?

General Hospital‘s July 2 episode featured a shootout that left more than one person dead. Naturally, viewers of the ABC soap opera were left wondering: Is Ryan Paevey‘s Cassius Faison dead?
In Thursday’s heart-stopping episode, Cassius saved Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) life at Wyndemere, and then got in a gun battle on the loading dock with WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). Cullum — who had been working on a cold fusion device with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) — also revealed that Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) never had Huntington’s Disease, and that it was all made up to get her to complete Cesar Faison’s work on the cold fusion device.
During the scuffle, Cullum shot Cassius, but he was still alive when Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who had also been wounded in the shootout, shot Cullum. John Oliver‘s character then arrived via helicopter with two armed bodyguards. He shot one of Cullum’s agents, who was reaching for a gun, and then spotted Cullum, Josslyn, and Cassius bleeding on the ground.
Oliver’s character checked Cassius’ pulse, and then reassured Josslyn, “Everything’s going to be OK. I’m here to help.”

So, is Cassius dead? At this point, there is no clear answer. General Hospital writers, however, previously hinted that Paevey’s character could be on his way out.
“Cassius risks a clean getaway to say goodbye. Cassius’s life as Nathan comes crashing down, and we’ll learn whether his masquerade has changed him for the better,” they told Soap Opera Digest. “But in the end, his legacy will not be determined so much by his own decisions but by the choice of someone he leaves behind.”
Fans will have to tune into the Friday, July 3 episode of GH to find out, for sure, what happens to Cassius. Do you think he lives or dies?

I do not want him to die...think he has redeemed himself...think he should be given a chance at a better life..hes seen what Nathan had and I think he wants that for himself...I know alot of people won't like this but I think he and Joss would make a great couple...I hope Ryan stayscfo awhile longer..he adds a spark to GH

I don’t want him to die. I have loved Ryan P. being back on GH but I also understand that he has a lot of irons in the fire. I hope he survives but gets put in one of the WSB prisons. That way he could always come back. I’m actually dreading (but am excited about) today’s episode.

I'm wondering if the show will reveal only to the viewers that the WSB faked Cassius's death because he knows too much about everything that went down with Cullum and Sidwell and maybe Cassius agrees to let everyone believe he's dead to keep people he cares about safe from Sidwell since he's still alive.Plus then the door is left open for him to return one day.

I don't think he will die because it was just a shoulder shot. However I do know he's going off GH which is a shame. Him and Joss would a great duo saving the world

I loved Nathan, and now I love Cassius. I really hope he stays, but if he leaves, hopefully it will only be temporarily.

As much as I liked Ryan as James/Nathan, I do like the character Cassius. He actually gets to play both good and bad, and Ryan handles the inner conflict quite well as an actor. Plus, he’s also easy on the eyes! Hopefully he’ll stay a little while longer and we’ll get to explore what makes Cassius tick.

I think Cassius and josylynn will both be taken by this man they will let everyone think they are dead but then down the road they'll come back as a super couple in the WSB LOL

i love Cassius don't want him dead he has grown on me when he came on the show he more interesting then Nathan ever was he better Character he showing his softer side
