Fox News: Jessica Tarlov Clashes With Jesse Watters Over Reflecting Pool ‘Vandalism’
What To Know
- Fox News hosts Jesse Watters and Jessica Tarlov argued over claims that Democrats vandalized Trump’s recently renovated Reflecting Pool.
- Watters referenced claims of razor blade slashes and a man with a pitchfork.
- The New York Times and Park Police reports found peeling paint and cuts in the pool but did not confirm vandalism as the cause.
Fox News hosts Jesse Watters and Jessica Tarlov got into it on Thursday’s (June 25) edition of The Five while discussing the drama around the recently renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
“The Democrats are ripping up the Reflecting Pool,” Watters said on Thursday’s show. “Now, a couple days ago…”
Tarlov tried to cut him off, telling him, “Stop it!”
However, Watters continued his rant, saying, “A lot of people at this table pooh-poohed the idea that you guys would vandalize the pool. But now we have hard evidence reported by The New York Times and the Park Police, because I’ve looked at all the reports.”
He then listed some so-called claims of vandalism, stating, “There was a guy with a pitchfork there the other day. They caught him at midnight, doing something dirty. Another guy, 171-foot razor slashes at the bottom. Someone even got caught pulling up while he videotaped himself ripping up the bottom. That was the canoeist.”
Watters’ words echo claims from President Donald Trump, who has blamed the peeling paint and algae problems of his $16.4 million renovation of the Reflecting Pool on vandals. However, the New York Times report, which Watters seemed to reference, said there is no concrete evidence of vandalism.
The report states that National Park Service workers found peeling paint and cuts in parts of the pool, but did not name a cause. The U.S. Park Police described the cuts along the 20-foot-long stretch of foam as “razor blade slashes,” but the administration has yet to present evidence supporting that claim.
As for the “canoeist,” Watters was referring to former U.S. Olympian David Hearn, who was arrested for allegedly vandalizing the pool. Hearn’s attorney argued that his client merely touched a piece of the peeling paint because he wanted to see what it felt like, per Mediaite.
During their on-air spat, Watters told Tarlov to “leave the pool alone,” telling her not to “rip up the pool” when The Five panel visits the Great American State Fair.
“I’m not going to touch the pool,” Tarlov said. “I just want to guarantee that when we have a new Democratic president in 2029 and Memorial Day rolls around, 4th of July, you don’t say anything negative about the country.”
“Why would I ever say anything negative?” Watters fired back.
“You didn’t say in Biden’s America, ‘It’s terrible, you can’t get a job, your groceries cost more!?'”
“Groceries did cost more,” Watters replied.
“They cost more now!” Tarlov retorted.

She lies constantly, which I guess she thinks is analysis. Viewers can see & hear the hate for POTUS coming out of her. She’s had to apologize for statements at least twice. I seriously can’t believe Fox employs her.

PROOF! Show your proof. Trumpers love to repeat whatever they hear to support their cause but never can seem show the proof to verify its correct.
