Hall & Oates rock legend Daryl Hall recently received a kidney transplant from a living donor, he revealed on social media.

The “Maneater” singer explained, “It happened a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better. It was, according to my doctors, a complete success!”
Luckily, fans hoping to see Hall in a live performance won’t have to wait too long for another opportunity despite his recent surgery. “I should be back to normal in a few months, so get ready for more music and lots of Daryl’s House shows,” he noted. “You all take care!”

In the comments, Hall’s followers flooded him with prayers and well-wishes as he continues to heal following the kidney transplant. One Instagram user wrote, “Sending prayers for a speedy recovery,” alongside praying-hands and bandaged-heart emojis.
Another shared, “Praying for a fast recovery.”

Previously, the “Rich Girl” singer revealed that he was diagnosed with Lyme disease, a bacterial infection transmitted via an infected tick bite. Among the wide range of symptoms, Lyme disease can cause kidney issues, including inflammation.
Hall, who was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2006, told Seacoast Media Group in 2008, “I have good days and bad days. I was fine for four months, then I might have tremors, headaches, fatigue. It’s like a roving street gang of germs.”
Alongside John Oates, Hall rose to fame in the ’70s and ’80s with hits like “Sara Smile,” “Maneater,” and “Rich Girl.” Other successful songs from the group include “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do),” “You Make My Dreams,” “Private Eyes,” “Out of Touch,” and more.
