Adrianne Curry, the first-ever winner of America’s Next Top Model, has reacted to Tyra Banks suing Netflix over the recent docuseries, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.
“I read that Tyra Banks is suing Netflix because she didn’t like being edited,” Curry said in an Instagram video on Sunday (June 14), while gesturing “air quotes” around the word edited. “B***h, for real girl? Like?” She then ended the video while laughing.
“Trya doesn’t like being ‘edited,'” she captioned the post. “Lol. Welcome to the party, pal.”
On Saturday (June 13), Banks, the former America’s Next Top Model host, filed a lawsuit claiming the Netflix docuseries was edited to perpetuate a false narrative. Banks hosted the modeling competition series for all but one of its 24 seasons, which aired from 2003 to 2018.

According to court documents obtained by People, the 52-year-old supermodel asked for a jury trial to determine the “appropriate” amount in damages — including the “loss of future business opportunities, loss of business income, [and] other compounding losses as will be shown at trial.”
“Tyra Banks participated in the Netflix documentary series America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) because she believed viewers deserved a candid conversation about the show’s legacy — its successes and its shortcomings,” the lawsuit reads. “There are aspects of the show for which Ms. Banks takes accountability, and she wanted ANTM viewers to hear that from her directly.”
The filing continues, “Going into her interview, Ms. Banks did not limit the ANTM topics the interviewer could ask. During a three-and-a-half-hour interview, Ms. Banks answered questions about the show’s groundbreaking history, including criticism of decisions she would approach differently today.”
The court documents go on to allege that Banks’ remarks were “stripped of context and reassembled to support a false and defamatory narrative unrelated to what she actually expressed.”
Curry, who won ANTM‘s debut season in 2003, previously shared her thoughts on the docuseries. In a February Instagram video, the fashion model said she had “mad respect” for Banks, saying, “She is not sorry. She is not apologizing to you. That b***h is not effing sorry. She will not bend the knee. And I respect that.”
She added, “We want her to lie, lie, and say how bad she feels? Everyone’s coming to me, and they’re like, ‘None of the judges are sorry.’ Why should they be? They’re all loaded. Why should they give a flying f***, you know? If they didn’t give a f*** at the time, they certainly ain’t gonna give a f*** now.”
