Fox’s Bones wraps its 12-season run on March 28 with a massive two-part finale, and things don’t look good for Booth (David Boreanaz). “Nothing is safe,” executive producer Jonathan Collier warns. However, for married crime solvers Booth and Brennan (Emily Deschanel), “If they’re going to be in peril, they’re going to be in peril together.”

The Feb. 14 hour featured a heartbreaking twist.

Though there are many twists, the focus of the finale, "The End in the End," is on the characters. Says Collier, “It’s about bringing them to a place in their lives and with each other where it felt right to end the series.”

Collier also praises Boreanaz's "great job" directing the finale: "It's exciting all the way through."
