For the first time in 16 years, Colby Donaldson is returning to Survivor. Season 50 will be his fourth time playing the game, having made his debut on Season 2 in 2001 (and finishing as runner-up), then returning for All-Stars (Season 8) in 2004 and Heroes vs. Villains (Season 20) in 2010, where he finished in 12th and fifth place, respectively.

Donaldson has gone through some major life changes since his last time on the show, including getting married to his wife, Britt Bailey.
