What To Know

  • QVC Group Inc., the parent company of QVC and HSN, is reportedly in confidential talks with lenders about restructuring its $6.6 billion debt, which may involve filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
  • The company has faced significant challenges, including declining TV viewership, a 66% stock price drop, campus consolidations, and the layoff of 900 employees in early 2025.
  • QVC is attempting to adapt by consolidating operations and shifting its focus toward social and streaming platforms to improve efficiency and customer experience.

The home-shopping company behind cable channels QVC and HSN is reportedly considering filing for bankruptcy to handle a heavy debt burden.

Earlier this week, Bloomberg reported that QVC Group Inc. was negotiating a voluntary debt restructuring agreement that could involve the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process.

Citing sources familiar with the matter, Bloomberg added that QVC Group and its lenders were in the midst of confidential talks. The sources said terms hadn’t been set and there hadn’t been a final decision about filing for bankruptcy.

Regulatory filings show that QVC Group had $6.6 billion of outstanding group debt as of September 30, and sources told Bloomberg the company also had a tax liability to handle.

During an earnings call in November 2025, QVC Group CEO David Rawlinson called out diminishing TV viewership as a challenge for business. “Returning our company to growth continues to be difficult as challenges persist,” he said.

Worse yet, QVC Group stock plummeted by 66 percent on Tuesday, February 10, landing at $3.74 a share in the company’s biggest stock price drop on record.

In January 2025, QVC Group announced it would close its HSN campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, and consolidate its HSN and QVC operations at its Studio Park location in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

“As we focus on our growth strategy to lean further into social and streaming, we are redefining who we are as a company and the role we play for our customers,” David Rawlinson said at the time. “With a realigned organizational structure supporting QVC US and HSN together in certain parts of the business, we will work more efficiently, build new capabilities faster by operating together in one location, and unlock an even better customer experience.”

In a press release about the move, the company said it was “building a next-generation content engine in Studio Park that can quickly capture content to deploy on social, streaming, and more for both HSN and QVC.”

Then, in March 2025, came the news that QVC was laying off 900 employees, or about 5 percent of its workforce, according to CBS Philadelphia.

The prices of all items has gone up so much, especially the clothes! Been a customer for many years. Not buying like I used to because the prices are so high! Would be a shame if they closed down.

      Honeysalgal

This is exactly why I haven’t been purchasing as much from QVC. I love their Denim and Co. brand and their pants always fit me best. But the prices have gone wild! Hope Chapter 11 helps them to reconsider pricing.

    2. P

      Paula

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. Even their sale prices are exorbitant.

    Me too

I love shopping QVC. I agree pricing is through the roof so I often passon items that I'd love to purchase. I am not enjoying the menopause shows and the things that are said during the show. Shawn used to be my favorite but now i turn away from the show if she is hosting. Just not for me.

      Ann

It serms so silly and also there is not the class that they used to have. Sometimes they look so homely and a tacky, certainly NOT THE CLASSY WAY IT USED to be. The people look, well it is not what it used to be. Sometimes just Quit before it gets worse

    2. A

      agnesnettles6

Clothing by Iman, Christy Brinkley, Anthony, Nina Leonard are reasonably priced and well made. Most of the rest are ridiculously priced and their product is not well made.

    3. P

      pennylane68

I totally agree about the pricing, but must disagree about Shawn's Menopause show. I enjoy the show and am happy that someone is talking about it. As a woman who is in menopause I find the show helpful. Once you are in menopause you are there for the rest of your life...it's nice to hear about products that can help you navigate this forever phase of your life.

I think that QVC stood for QUALITY VALUE, CUSTOMER, sadly that has changed! The mass percentage of their items are made in China, and are made very poorly! The prices are skyrocketing, but the product is poor! The engaging host where fired or laid off! Simply said we can't trust QVC merchandise or prices anymore!

The prices of the clothes has gotten way out of line. BELLE, Susan Graver , Quaker Factory and even what use to be a reasonable line of clothes, Denim &Co. has gotten so expensive I just quit watching. My go to is Marshall's and TJ Max. Doesn't surprise me they are losing viewers

WAS,a great customer for years. Never returned anything back in the day, even if it wasn't exactly what I wanted, it was nice and good quality so i kept it. Not any more. Everything is cheaply made, you can see thru almost all the thinly woven materials. Way, way over priced. Miss the old QVC. But the business model can't sustain the quality at marketable prices.

  6. D

    Dennis

Consumer can get better items at Amazon , Home Depot.

Better pricing, assortment and quality. QVC has lost its way.

My closets are packed, and it's all QVC and HSN clothing that I've acquired through watching their presentations on TV. I really have no idea how I'll shop in the future without them. The QVC/HSN business exchange/refund policy was something I trusted and depended on.

    1. N

      Nikki

The clothing is so expensive and is made for old ladies. I agree with the previous comments stop talking about menopause, what does that have to do with selling clothes. Stop talking about your trips and how you bought the different colors. In reality as a host you would not wear that item in public if it made you look like an old lady.

    1. M

      MoniG

      YES👊🏾

  12. R

    RoRo16

I only watch occasionally now. I used to buy a lot of Quacker Factory jeans. They were very good quality and the ones I have had for years are still hanging in there. I ordered some of the newer ones but sent them back because the material is nothing like the ones I bought years ago and the prices are terrible.

It seems QVC sells more food than anything else now and if you want to see the product you have to watch hosts like Alberti play to the camera and make comments about the type of products that many times are not accurate. Why would anyone pay as much as $30 a pound for many items that are sold in stores for $10 a pound. QVC has lost it's way with the average shopper by playing to the woke social media crowd. In the end they won't be the ones to sustain the company.

  13. G

    Goldie

I have been a QVC shopper for years. The quality of products and reasonable prices are what drew me in. Also loved the host and the products. However in the last few years I have stopped watching the channel, products and host I loved have been dropped and replaced with items of low quality and host that just don't seem like they care. Prices on items like christmas decorations have become unaffordable for me. I always loved Christmas in July but it is the same stuff year after year. Just not worth my time. If I need something I will check QVC on-line or go to Amazon.

  14. M

    Mom Mom

In the kitchen with David on Wednesdays and Sundays is what I watch. Why is it only on for an hour on Wednesday and then switch to QVC 2. Most of the food and dessert products are out of my price range. I do purchase Lindor truffles for Christmas gifts.

  15. M

    Magoo1943

Your clothes used to be stylish and pretty. Now they are cheaply made and old lady looking. Your company went downhill when you got rid of Dan and Carolyn and rarely show David. Shame on you. I used to be a good customer. Rarely buy from you now.

  16. G

    Green Olive

Oh oh. I know a lot of people will go through withdrawal symptoms if the show goes off the air, but will save them a lot of money 😂

Kim gravel needs to sell her stuff at 20.00 same with Susan graver .the quality of clothes are cheaply made . People are going to tj Maxx and Marshall's

  18. A

    Americancarol

They made a bunch of changes that wasn't good for business. Their hosts that they didn't fire are bad. They talk too much, not trustworthy, unbelievable and over dramatic. Except for the small and delicious food sources that are domestic, most of their stuff is from China and is poor quality. Now, they do have VERY unique items. I did most of my Xmas shopping from them and every person loves their things and always asks...where the heck did u get this? They are overpriced too. I think they need to go back to old school tactics. Put the cyst first, lower prices, tone down the hosts and people like Kim Gravel take up hours each day & her clothes are cheaply made but very expensive plus, she's ANNOYING

    1. W

      Wini13

They even gave Kim her own channel. The prices are outrageous. I used to work retail QVC has a clearance show every Wednesday, how is $8-10 off an item considered clearance. Personally, I'd rather shop HSN. Prices is still reasonable, and they have better coupons

  19. D

    Debraradke54

All the clothing is way overpriced especially Denim and Co! Not current styles! Go to stores and get way more value. No ridiculous shipping charges either! Takes almost 2 weeks to get the items you order!

  20. N

I quit watching in 2024 when Synchrony raised the interest rate on the Qcard to 39.99%!!!

OUTRAGEOUS!!!! I had a FICO score of 803! I’m NOT paying that interest rate!!!

I'm sorry to be so blunt. Alot of the hosts are just downright obnoxious now. The long time hosts have left. I end up having to change the channel. Just because it's just not appealing. The subject matter can sometimes be so out there and different than it used to be.

  23. L

    Lucas1771

It’s Simple! Go woke go broke! I love the products but all the hosts seem the same. You got rid of my favorite hosts. No one wants to watch fake people.

  24. D

QVC. Has hired some awful host/hostesses that just don’t cut it. Their camera presence is terrible and they don’t dress to sell. I stopped watching a year ago as I found the clothing cheaply made and not flattering. They lost their polish when they hired poor sales staff.. Too bad.

  25. O

    October Gal 44

They have themselves to blame. Their quality went down and their prices went up. I was a customer for years, purchased computers, kitchen appliances and clothing. The last three items I purchased were very poor quality. I said to myself, that’s it no more. They also became boring.

  26. K

    Kathy

Yes prices way too high. Then you have to pay shipping as well. No thank you. I used to buy all my jewelry from QVC but that has gone downhill. No variety. And the hostesses make me crazy. They are suppose to be showing items not flaunting themselves & trying to act like comedians

  27. S

    Sheila

I was a frequent customer for years until about two years ago. Quality doesn't match the cost of anything now. Not just on qvc, everything. Service isn't what it was either. I've had problems getting what I've ordered. A customer since 1987. I collect temptations. It's not as well made as it once was.

  28. Q

    Qvc joke

They laid off 900 but rehired almost 700 of those positions. Then as soon as layoffs were done they promoted everyone into the higher laid off roles. It was an absolute joke to pretend they were saving money. Did not save a dime.

I think the hosts are trying to hard to be stars. People like MALLY need to go. She isn’t a good host to loud and into performing. The prices have gotten ridiculously expensive Kim gravel used to come out with nice reasonably priced clothes now they are twice the price and made so cheaply. Something needs to change

  32. C

They laid off the wrong people.EX:LISA ROBERTSON who drew a high viewer (CONTENT) follower. She was a true Host. Gracey, Dan H., Antinella n list goes on n on. I once owned so many brands thru out my house-all from the Q. No more. Everything is so so overpriced and then add shipping-way too expensive for poor quality. Courtney and Jane are wonderful but I can’t even watch if Shawn is on. People want nice people who care about others, like Courtney Jane, David. Be nice and stop over charging. Probably a better way to go!

Well, I saw this BK coming with the bad economy and QVC found it wise to RAISE their prices?? Come on, paying $78 for a sheer blouse of Polyester? Money hungry channel but, people don’t like that!!

    Chakitty

I stopped buying my clothes from QVC because prices are ridiculous. Then you have the shipping and tax to tack on after.

    1. A

Use Rakuten, especially when you can get more than 2% cash back and buy only when there is free shipping and items are deeply discounted.

  42. N

    NHrider

Very disappointed in the prices and most of the styles. Overburdened with “midi dresses”. I don’t buy anymore unless it is a sale and something I REALLY want. Any time I want an exchange it never comes and there is no notification of unavailability. Not good for contemporary style. Give me TJM or Amazon!

  43. T

    TGirlRoll

When you see people like Kim Gravell touted for becoming a BILLIONAIRE from what they're selling on QVC, and their quality is terrible with LAUGHABLE but unfunny prices, it's hard to feel sorry for QVC. They deserve what's happening to them, but HSN (whose prices were always better than QVC until taken over by them) did not deserve this.

  44. H

    Highhay

My favorite hosts have left or had their presentations reduced. I have nany friends in t g e LBGTQ+ community but can't understand why QVC hires men from this community. Too many fake laughs, head nidding, ... The foid pdices are outrageous. Most meat and fish items go from $30 a pound and mire!

  45. W

I told them years ago when they hired Shawn it was a mistake. She try’s to be so cutesy, but we are adults and her Schlick gets old immediately. I turn her off

Prices up, quality down, inconsistent sizing. Many items can be purchased elsewhere cheaper. The newer crews just doesn't appeal to me. Both hosts and sellers think they're comedians, and a lot of silliness just gets old. Lately it's all about outrageously priced food and green drinks. I can see why ppl are turning it off.

  47. L

    LM

I like the Q but the prices on the clothes are outrageous! They must not realize there are other places to shop locally that’s cheaper! I don’t understand why Denim & Co has become so expensive, maybe they should get rid of Gary. JS

Prices need to come down, especially the clothes. The high prices are driving people to different sites like Shein,Temu. I know the same quality is not there. People are not buying to have forever like they use to especially the younger crowd. Sad employees have to be cut. Maybe by reorganization things can improve. The $ is important to us all. Thank you.

  51. N

Just can't take the constant over selling of over priced food items and the quality of most other items is questionable, my other issue is DEI has infiltrated QVC and it's not working out well.

  52. R

    rs

Most of the hosts are unbearable to watch, rude always talking over each other, same products over and over again especially with the food. I believe it’s run its course. That’s ok I have my Netflix🙂

  53. G

    Guest

They let longtime hosts go that people loved. It may be less expensive to hire younger folks that have not been with them long, but it also has hurt their business. In addition to very high prices they are not carrying things I used to buy or it’s made differently and I don’t find it fits well. The Quaker factory jeans I always loved don’t fit right because they don’t make the same cut anymore.

I still think the biggest mistake was letting the hosts go that a lot of people followed. I know that’s when I stop watching very often.

  54. D

    Don from Weatherford

To much product made in china and cheaply made. Food is priced to high and what I've bought lately has been awful. Sets look like cheap hotels. Newer host barely know anything about products they are selling, I call them hucksters. I'm tired of hearing about vacations hosts go on when a lot of people go pay to pay ! I could care less if they go under !

  55. T

I used to order from them quite a bit but their prices to have just gone way too high. I think that since Mr. QVC. the owner (don't remember his name) passed away the company went down hill. He cared about QVC and the products. The quality is not the same and the prices are higher. It's like the owner now doesn't care.

I bought a lot of great styles, even my daughter comments on the styles. It totally according to the designer. My Bearpaw r so much cheaper than in the stores. Marshalls and tjmax r good but just like qvc and hsn, it's hit or miss u catch good stuff, sometimes great stuff and sometimes u miss. I'm a shopper. I know when it's a good buy or a fantastic outfit. Sometimes it's a great but, other times it doesn't matter the cost. It's qvc not Bloomingdale's

  66. S

I was a great fan and customer. Received one letter in 2018. Your returns exceed your purchases. Never another word. Then bam my account closed 2 weeks ago. Nasty customer service rep told me not to call again. What? I didn’t even know what was going on. Loyal customer since 2001. Returns happen when you sell shrunken, smelly, returns as new. You inflate prices but call yourself a volume seller and send merchandise with missing buttons, ripped seams, and mismatched arm and leg length. My whole family and my friends all dropped QVC when they heard how I was treated. There must be a reason for the bankruptcy. Hmm. Could it be you forgot what QVC stands for?

  67. S

    Sandygirl

Quality used to be great, but like with Valerie you never know what you get. I’ve noticed lately with clothes especially everything is $50, $60 for tee shirts way overpriced. And to send anything back is a hassle because the return slip is not included anymore.

I purchase a few select beauty items from them when on special and free shipping. They lost a lot of my business over the past years. I don't think they listen to their customers. Amazon is way easier to deal with and cheaper on a lot of things.
