If you grew up in the ’90s, you probably don’t need much of a refresher on who 4 Non Blondes are, but their name popping up on the lineup for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest might feel kind of random. The San Francisco-based band was very popular in the early ’90s, leaving behind one of the decade’s most instantly recognizable songs, “What’s Up?” And even if you didn’t grow up in the ’90s, you might recognize bits of the song from a viral trend on social media recently. Now, they are gearing up for a comeback, performing this New Year’s Eve and preparing to release their first new album in over 30 years.
