‘The Traitors New Blood’ Trailer: First Look at Backstabbing by New Cast Revealed

Soon, becoming a back-stabbing turncoat won’t just be for the rich and famous, as Peacock‘s hit show The Traitors is set to debut an all-new civilian version of the competition on NBC called The Traitors: New Blood. 

The Traitors has thrived on the streaming service with an all-celebrity cast, delivering drama, betrayals, and tense roundtable banishments. Now, the series aims to replicate that success by bringing in everyday contestants eager to scheme, manipulate, and outwit one another, all while competing in elaborate challenges on their way to the grand prize. New Blood will premiere on NBC in September.

When does The Traitors: New Blood air?

The Traitors: New Blood will premiere on Thursday, September 27, at 8/7c, with a two-hour extended premiere (episodes 1 and 2) from 8 to 10pm on NBC. The following week, September 24, episodes 3 and 4 will air. Then, after that, there will only be one episode per week. All episodes will stream the next day on Peacock.

Who will host The Traitors spinoff?

Cumming will be back to host the new edition and pick new Traitors and Faithfuls to his Scottish Highlands castle.

What is the prize?

Like the celebrity edition, the top prize is $250,000. The contestants must work together on challenges to put money in their prize pot. If all Faithfuls are left at the end, they split the money. However, if there is one Traitor left, they take it all.

Has there ever been a civilian season before?

Technically, on the U.S. version, Season 1 had a mix of celebrities and civilians. But this is the first all-civilian season. This is different from the Peacock version, which will have famous people for Season 5 in early 2027.

Who are the contestants?

The contestants are made up of non-famous people. They were announced on August 12.

Yes! A new trailer was released on August 17. “You are all ordinary Americans,” Cumming said. “But there is nothing ordinary about my castle.

“When nobody knows who you are, you can get away with anything,” he continued. The contestants were then seen doing various tasks, riding on trains, and talking about their strategies. “Who doesn’t love a good funeral?” Cumming asked. “And you’re all invited.”
