Brian Cox will be shaking (not stirring) things up on TV again soon — this time, as The Controller for Season 2 of 007: Road to a Million. The reality competition series follows eight teams of two everyday people who go on a global adventure through James Bond-inspired challenges. The trailer for Season 2 was just released, and the tasks are riskier than ever.

007: Road to a Million Season 2 will launch globally on August 22. It is an eight-part Prime Video original series.

Who is The Controller?
Brian Cox, a Scottish actor, is The Controller. He is known for his role in the HBO show Succession. The Controller will operate from a control room where he challenges pairs, assesses their performance, and delivers his signature wry, deadpan commentary. This time, the Controller works alongside his right-hand woman, Sofia (Frances McNamee). The Controller will have an expanded presence this season, including showing viewers a glimpse into his global operation and the network he commands, hinting at the reach of the organization he represents.
“Returning as The Controller this time around, the series feels more high-octane, more immersive, and definitely more Bond. The challenges are bigger, the drama runs deeper, and I’ve got the best seat in the house to watch it unfold,” Cox said.

In the trailer, the pairs are seen competing in Bond-like tasks, including bungee jumping off the side of bridges, climbing Bangkok towers, crawling through sewers filled with water, having spiders and snakes placed on them, shooting guns, swimming with sharks in the Bahamas, and more.
“I’m sending you around the world on a series of missions,” Cox told the competitors in the trailer. “You will be competing against each other for the chance to win a million pounds. Eliminate the competition, master the gadgets, and find your inner Bond. If you lose, you’ll be out. Only the best will make it to the end.”
