We Were Liars may not have been renewed for Season 2 yet, but fans are already fired up about their next summer on Beechwood.

In an interview with Swooon, We Were Liars creators Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie revealed that they already have plans for a potential second season. According to the book-to-screen production team, the second season would follow in the footsteps of E. Lockhart’s We Were Liars book series, making the basis of their Season 2 plot the book’s prequel-like sequel, Family of Liars.
