Can we pull you for a chat? Yes, because it’s time to rank all 20 seasons of Love Island UK and USA once and for all. There will be more tea spilled here than was thrown into the waters of Boston. But the real question is: Who does it best? Are the Brits unbeatable when it comes to cheeky flirting and devastating betrayals, or can the Americans compete with viral moments, unforgettable memes, and iconic Islanders?
The British version, which was actually a revival of a short-lived original run, debuted in 2015. Love Island quickly became a global phenomenon, and America soon took notice. Love Island USA premiered in 2019 on CBS before moving to Peacock for Season 4 and beyond. Season 8 just wrapped up on July 16, giving us plenty of villa drama to analyze.
