‘Blue Bloods’ Casts ‘Entourage’ Star Kevin Dillon

We’ve been swimming in Reagans since the CBS cop show hit Blue Bloods starting dominating Friday nights seven years ago. On February 17, fans will finally get to meet the brother of nurse Linda (Amy Carlson), the feisty wife of Det. Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), TV Insider has learned exclusively.

Kevin Dillon, whose lengthy resume includes Platoon’s memorable Bunny and Entourage’s Johnny “Drama” Chase, has been cast as Jimmy, an endearing ne’er-do-well—the kind that always messes up, usually over a woman. Jimmy usually depends on Danny to bail him out of his various self-made predicaments, but this time he angers the New York mob. And that’s one mess which won’t be easy for even Danny to fix.

    Linda is a "feisty wife"? Unless you're talking about the boudoir, I'm not sure what you're talking about.

    Also, this is a pretty big cliche-- the brother who's a trouble-maker and needs to be bailed out (figuratively) of crazy situations. It's been done to death on TV, even on this show, with Baez's brother. (BTW, he's another cliche: the father or brother who's a criminal, petty or otherwise, who influences the character to become a cop.)
