Netflix Releases ‘House of Cards’ Season 5 Premiere Date, Teaser on Inauguration Day (VIDEO)
Some people may be feeling uneasy about Donald Trump being inaugurated as President of the United States on Friday, perhaps thinking he may be a real-life version of Frank Underwood, the character played by Kevin Spacey in Netflix’s House of Cards. Blurring those lines even more, Netflix cleverly chose Inauguration Day to tweet out the premiere date (May 30) and a teaser for Season 5 of the acclaimed political drama.
In the tweet, the clip is prefaced by a simple and ominous statement: “We make the terror.” It’s a brief clip, but somewhat eerie, with the flapping of an American flag underscored by children slowly chanting the Pledge of Allegiance (funny how children’s voices can somehow make even the most innocent things sound creepy).
