Food Network and HGTV are getting in the holiday spirit with four new scripted features for discovery+ with every title dropping Friday, November 11 on the platform.

The specials feature sparkling seasonal decor, yuletide culinary delights, and budding romances, and the films with their food and home improvement storylines were created to appeal to fans of the networks. Among some of the network stars set to appear in each scripted title are Ben and Erin Napier, Bobby Flay, Hilary Farr, and Duff Goldman alongside several popular actors.

A Christmas Open House

This film follows the story of an Atlanta property stager Melissa Norwood (The Bold Type‘s Katie Stevens) as she teams up with her old high school crush, real estate agent David Phelps (Reasonable Doubt‘s Victor Rasuk), and local artists Henry and Sarah Wright (Home Town‘s Ben and Erin Napier) to prepare and sell her mom’s home before the holidays. As tensions build, so does a romance between Melissa and David, but could different goals be a relationship dealbreaker? Emily Moss Wilson directed the flick penned by her, Brian Turner, and Garrett Frawley. A Christmas Open House is produced by MarVista Entertainment in association with Reflecting Pool Productions.

Designing Christmas

In this movie, the action revolves around interior designer Stella (Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr) and contractor Pablo (Virgin River‘s Marco Grazzini) who have charmed millions as co-hosts of a popular home renovation show. Although Stella is planning her wedding with fiancé Jack (Mykee Selkin), a last-minute production shift means she and Pablo have to work overtime to keep their show on schedule. Confiding in mentor Freddy (Love It or List It‘s Hilary Farr), Stella reveals her complicated feelings for Pablo that could jeopardize everything. The movie is directed by Pat Mills and written by Michael J. Murray. Designing Christmas is produced by MarVista Entertainment in association with Neshama Entertainment.

A Gingerbread Christmas

A Gingerbread Christmas follows Hazel Stanley (The Good Place‘s Tiya Sircar) who is spending the holidays with her father (Sugith Varughese) in Chicago where the family bakery is in decline. Hazel also discovers her former best friend Shelby (Kyana Teresa) has opened a trendy new bake shop across the street. Eager to save the family business, Hazel enters a gingerbread house competition led by food celebrity Mark Clemmons (Holiday Baking Championship‘s Duff Goldman) for the chance to win a $100,000 prize. At the same time, she finds an unexpected romance with James Meadows (Reacher‘s Marc Bendavid), a family friend who is helping restore the bakery. When a series of misunderstandings threaten to tear everything apart, will holiday magic lead to a Merry Christmas? Pat Kiley directs the movie written by Carley Smale and Blaine Chiapetta. One Delicious Christmas

Bobby Flay in 'One Delicious Christmas'

Rounding out the lineup is One Delicious Christmas, which explores the story of Abby Richmond (Switched at Birth‘s Vanessa Marano) who inherited the Vermont-based Haven Restaurant and Inn and needs to secure an investment from mogul Alexandra Grandfield (Kathy Maloney) to keep it running. After critic Tom Kingsley (Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown‘s Bobby Flay) offers his blunt review, Abby hires hot-shot chef Preston Weaver (Dark Matter‘s Alex Mallari Jr.) to help liven Haven’s holiday menu. Despite the chemistry between Preston and Abby, they’ll have to focus on impressing Alexandra and Tom to determine what will happen to Haven. Stacy N. Harding directs the film written by Betsy Sullenger. Meanwhile, One Delicious Christmas is executive produced by MarVista Entertainment in association with Neshama Entertainment.
