‘The Fosters’ Family Crisis: Will Jesus Survive?

It’s a matter of life or death on Freeform’s The Fosters when Season 4 resumes January 31, picking up with the events of last summer’s finale.

Jesus (NoahCentineo) is unconscious after being punched—in the exact spot where he had previously sustained a head injury—by sister Mariana’s ex-boyfriend. As Jesus is rushed to the hospital with a frantic Stef (Teri Polo) by his side, he begins having seizures and is hurried into surgery. “Our moms are as strong as they come,” says executive producer Peter Paige, “but they’ve reached the limit of their capacity to handle all this stress.”
