This entry to the MCU introduces viewers to a new hero as teen Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) tries balancing high school life, her family, and her emerging superpowers. Kamala’s biggest superhero fascination is with Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel as she dons a suit inspired by the former United States Air Force officer and her super story. Despite her knack for getting lost in her imagination, Kamala still feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and even at home sometimes.

Her parents aren’t particularly thrilled with her superhero fascination, as they try to comprehend why Kamala is so inspired by these beings with extra abilities. Things change for Kamala when she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to though. But will the new power mean a better life for Kamala?

Joining Vellani in the series are costars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. The show is directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.  Meanwhile, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Bisha K. Ali are the executive producers.

Ms. Marvel is co-executive produced by Sana Amanat and Trevor Waterson, and Bisha K. Ali is the head writer. Check out the thrilling teaser trailer, below, and don’t miss Ms. Marvel when the show arrives this summer.
