Bel-Air is welcoming a couple of familiar faces into its upcoming ninth episode as Peacock unveils guest-starring roles for Fresh Prince of Bel-Air vets Daphne Maxwell Reid and Vernee Watson-Johnson.

The actresses who portrayed Aunt Viv and Viola “Vy” Smith in the original series that inspired Peacock’s dramatic new take will step into the updated series in fresh roles. The installment that begins streaming on Thursday, March 24 will welcome Reid as Helen and Watson-Johnson as Janice.

The actresses’ characters are members of the Art Council Board of Trustees. The episode will serve as the penultimate episode of the season as the finale is slated to drop on Peacock on Thursday, March 31. Along with announcing their roles, Peacock also shared a few images of the guest stars from the upcoming installment, as seen above.

For those who haven’t tuned into Peacock’s one-hour drama, Bel-Air reimagines the longtime favorite sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air into a grittier and more dramatic take on Will’s (Jabari Banks) complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated communities of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will must navigate the power of second chances.

Bel-Air already has another Fresh Prince alumn attached to the show as former headliner Will Smith executive produces the series for NBCUniversal’s streamer. The show is inspired by Morgan Cooper’s viral trailer that reimagined the ’90s sitcom as a raw and complex drama.

Catch the first looks at Reid and Watson-Johnson in the photos, above, and don’t miss Fresh Prince‘s former stars making their Bel-Air debut later this March on Peacock.
