What’s Worth Watching: American Crime’s March Madness

American Crime “Episode 8” (Thursday April 23, 10/9c, ABC)

This under-watched series keeps getting more powerful—and that has a lot to do with Regina King’s performance as Aliyah, sister of accused murderer Carter Nix (Elvis Nolasco), and Felicity Huffman’s turn as Barb, the mother of his alleged victim. Tonight, Aliyah’s peaceful march in support of her brother becomes a bloody riot after Barb and her supporters make an appearance. And, as is customary for this show, their reactions are complex.
