‘The Young and the Restless’ Reboots With a Breakfast of Champions (VIDEO)
It’s a new day—literally—at CBS’s The Young and the Restless, where veteran soap scribe Sally Sussman has taken command as head writer and co-executive producer. Sussman’s first episode, airing Wednesday, Dec. 7, will kick off with a scenario that famously harkens back to the soap’s golden days under its late, great creator Bill Bell—an Abbott family breakfast.

Just that brief preview video has me optimistic. It's a shame they can't somehow bring John Abbott back. Looking forward to tomorrow's show and the changes to follow.

I have been an avid supporter of Charles Pratt and his regime at THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. But, this feels genuine and like a nice throwback to the hey-day of the soap. I only hope that this preview is simply a sign of things to come, and that it doesn't take a sudden nosedive.
Oh, and to note, loving the very subtle instrumental of "Nadia's Theme" being used in this scene.

IT was Great The feel of the show made you think of when Bill was still alive and writing it.I watched the whole show without FF, the scenes were done well. I have to hand it to Sally and Kay they have done it, talk about walking into a Mess and cleaning it up in one day.

Finally! I gave up on Y&R months ago when that awful Sully story would not end. Then Victor's insane behavior became unwatchable. This clip gives me hope again!
