‘Seeking Persephone’ Season 3: Everything We Know So Far
Seeking Persephone‘s future is on many Regency romance lovers’ minds, especially now that the series has arrived on Prime Video and drawn in new fans. We won’t hold you in suspense: Though Persephone Lancaster (Ryann Bailey) and Duke Adam Boyce of Kielder (Jake Stormoen) won’t be the main focus of the series going forward, it is going forward.
Earlier this year, author Sarah M. Eden revealed that Seasons 2 and 3 are on the way. Eden has written five books in her Lancaster Family series, moving between each sibling similar to Bridgerton. The author and cast are known for keeping fans in the loop almost every step of the way, so what have they shared about Season 3’s status? Get the all the details revealed so far about the production’s status, the new couple, plot, and more.
What is Seeking Persephone Season 3’s premiere date?
Production hasn’t started on Season 2 yet, so Season 3 is some ways off. However, it only took 20 days to film Season 1, so we’d imagine the wait for Season 3 won’t be too long. A release window will become more clear once Season 2’s timeline is revealed.

“Getting to continue a series like this for a second season, let alone a second and third is huge… But it’s also complicated and there’s lots of moving parts and lots of things to get into place,” Eden said in an August 11 Instagram video. “It was great sharing as much of Season 1 production as we could with you and we’re looking forward to doing that again.”
Who’s the lead couple of Seeking Persephone Season 3?
In the renewal announcement, Eden confirmed that she was penning both new scripts, with Season 3 following Romancing Daphne. Daphne, the third eldest Lancaster, and James Tilburn fall in love. James’ kindness earned Daphne’s affection in her youth, so it’s possible he may appear in Season 2.
Viewers will remember that Daphne is just a child in Season 1, played by Willow Bell, so it’s likely Season 3 will have a time-jump and age Persephone’s loving little sister up. However, it seems that won’t be the case in Season 2. On September 13, Bell shared some behind-the-scenes photos from Season 1 on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “Cannot wait to be back!”
In another, Bell added, “Both seasons are coming soon, and I couldn’t be more excited for you all to continue the journey with the Lancaster family! A huge thank you to the incredible cast and crew who have brought these stories to life. I’m so excited for what’s to come!”
What will Seeking Persephone Season 3 be about?
Season 3 begins as Daphne’s first London Season is about to arrive. She’s nervous about her debut: Daphne doesn’t think she has her sisters’ beauty or conversation skills. Then, James arrives at Daphne’s door, and they fall for each other quickly. Yet, their happily-ever-after isn’t straightforward as they become entangled web of greed and deceit.

Who is in the Seeking Persephone Season 3 cast?
The cast list has yet to be revealed, but per the renewal announcement, Stormoen confirmed the Duke’s return in the future. That means there’s a good chance Bailey would reprise her role as his wife.
Catherine Hannay will lead Season 2 as Athena Lancaster alongside Toby-Alexander Smith as her love interest — and the Duke’s best friend in Season 1 — Harry. It’s unclear if they or any of the other Lancaster family actors, will return. However, Will Kemp, who plays the Lancaster patriarch, commented on Instagram, “Bring on Seasons 2 & 3 !!!”
