’90 Day: Hunt for Love’ Preview: Steven Reveals Why He’s Only Pursuing Iris
After just a few days at the singles resort, 90 Day Fiancé Season 6 alum Steven Frend is locked in on just one connection. In Swooon‘s exclusive preview of the October 19 episode of 90 Day: Hunt for Love Season 2, he reveals why he’s only pursuing 90 Day newbie Iris Castillo.
Steven was instantly attracted to Iris because he knew so little about her. He explains, “Iris is very mysterious in her own way, so that kind of intrigues me a lot. I like that, because it’s like a challenge. It’s like, ‘You’re not easy to read.’ So it’s like, ‘Okay, I have to work for it.'”
During a conversation about their social lives, where Steven and Iris both agree that they are not big partiers, Iris confesses, “I have a sensory sensitivity to noise. So, like, loud clubs and stuff.” While Steven isn’t opposed to the occasional night out, he explains, “I don’t go clubbing. That’s not my thing at all. I mean, I don’t know how to dance. I would like to, and I would like to go out occasionally, but it’s not something I live for on the weekends at all.”

Taking viewers inside his dating journey so far, Steven reveals, “I think I’m more reserved with dating because when it comes to my childhood, with my mom— She’s probably on marriage 10 or 11 by now. As a kid, I thought it was normal to see all the different men come in the house and was very like, ‘This is what love is.’ And as I got older, it took a lot of time for me to learn that this is not what it’s supposed to be.”
Telling Iris why he takes dating so seriously, the single dad confesses, “This is kind of why I’m more serious about things. Every one of my siblings have different dads.”
So what does Steven mean by taking dating seriously? He tells viewers, “I focus on one person at a time, and that’s it. Nothing else, nothing in between. And Iris is one that I’m focusing on right now.”
Does Iris want to focus on just Steven, too? Only time will tell!
