The Benard family has much to celebrate this fall! General Hospital veteran Maurice Benard shared some incredible news regarding his daughter, Cassidy Benard.
Cassidy keeps a low profile on social media, but her proud dad couldn’t help but gush over the upcoming event and the role he’ll play in it. Cassidy will be getting married on October 16 to her fiancé, Anthony Cammarata.
“Friday, my baby girl @cassidybenard is getting married, and I’m terrified!!! Only because I have to officiate and I’m thinking it’s gonna be through a lot of tears. Wish me luck,” he captioned a post featuring photos of Cassidy.
Cassidy and Anthony haven’t shared any public details about their nuptials, but we’re sure to hear about the wedding and subsequent celebration from Maurice. The actor loves to publicly show his love and support for his family.

Cassidy’s fiancé proposed in April 2025 during a trip to Disneyland. “My baby girl Cassidy is getting married to a great man @anthony_cammarata They went to Japan and he surprised her in Disneyland it truly is a fairytale,” Maurice captioned an Instagram post at the time.
This won’t be the first Benard wedding that the Daytime Emmy winner has officiated. The longtime Sonny Corinthos portrayer officiated his eldest daughter Cailey’s Zoom wedding in 2020. Maurice gushed that it was an “honor and a privilege” to marry his daughter and her now-husband.
Back in August, Maurice and his wife, Paula, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Benard penned a heartfelt love note about the special milestone. “What can I say about the woman who put up with me for 40 years? Basically saved me from ruins has given me four incredible children, and four incredible grandkids,” he began. “She is strong, but kind, my wife carries so much love within her, she always thinks of everyone else before herself. I met her when she was 16 did I ever think we would be together 40 years later? I can tell you this I’m lucky I met her it was truly a match made in heaven.”
