’90 Day Fiancé’: All About Jamal Menzies’ Family, Secret Siblings & More
For Jamal Menzies, starring on 90 Day Fiancé is a family affair. His mom, Kimberly Menzies, appeared on the TLC franchise before Jamal took center stage.
During Season 2 of 90 Day: Hunt for Love, Jamal got candid about his relationship with his mom, telling Ericka Webb during their date, “I think my mom would like you because you’re goofy, and you’re sweet, and you’re family-oriented, and that’s just so important to my life.” While fans got to know Jamal and Kim as a duo, Kim shocked audiences on 90 Day: The Single Life, revealing that she had two other children Jamal did not know about.
So, what was Kimberly’s major family shocker? Who else from their family has appeared on 90 Day Fiancé? And who is Jamal’s father? We’re taking a deep dive into Jamal’s family below.
Who is Jamal Menzies’ mom?
Jamal’s mom is fellow 90 Day Fiancé star, Kimberly Menzies. In case you haven’t tapped into Kim’s 90 Day journey yet, there are a few things you should know. Kim originally joined the franchise in 2021 during Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. At the time, she was dating Usman “Sojaboy” Umar, who later appeared on Hunt for Love Season 1. Jamal, who appeared as a guest on the season, was never a fan of Usman, so it was no surprise that their relationship was short-lived. After appearing on Season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? together, Kim and Usman called it quits.
Kim later appeared on Season 5 of The Single Life, where she got candid about her family and connected with a British single dad named Wayne Hope. While they ended the season as a couple, she told her followers that they had split in August. She explained, “After a lot of thought, Wayne and I have decided to part ways and remain friends.”
Does Jamal have siblings?
On The Single Life, Kim confessed that Jamal is not her only son. She confessed to fans, “I’ve been carrying a really big secret for about 30 years. Jamal is not my only child.” After the initial shocker, she revealed something bigger: Jamal didn’t know about his siblings. She shared, “I’ve hid things from him for so long that when I told him, it just devastated him.” As it turns out, Jamal has two older siblings: An older brother named Larry, who recently entered his life, and an older sister, whom he has yet to meet.
After meeting Larry and his kids, Jamal shared, “Im still processing, but I understand to never question Gods timing. It’s been a challenging journey but I’m thankful for everyone who has shown support and continues to do so. I really love this picture because after my sister in law got my nephew ready for bed he fell asleep in my arms and in a way it just felt like a full circle moment and I couldn’t be more thankful for it. He calls me uncle Mal and it’s the best nickname I’ve had in my life.”

Why didn’t Kim tell Jamal about his siblings?
According to Kim, she didn’t tell Jamal about his siblings until Larry found her through an ancestry website. While it’s unclear why Kim decided to hide Jamal from his siblings for so long, she explained that she did some “shady s**t” when Larry first contacted her. She confessed to “low-key catfished [her] own son” by pretending to be Jamal over text for three months until she found a way to tell him about Larry. She admitted, “I did not handle it the most stellar way, and I’m not proud.”
Who is Jamal’s dad?
Kim had all three of her children with Jamal’s dad, who is no longer in their lives. She explained on The Single Life, “Jamal’s dad and I were never married. We were together for seven and a half years. We were in the military together, and he was just cheating all the time. It was just like every day, there was a different girl. When I got pregnant with my first son, Larry, the first thing his dad said was, ‘Abort it,’ and I just couldn’t do that. But I was only 21 years old. I couldn’t imagine being a single mom. I was not mentally ready. I was starting my military career. I was just not ready. So I decided to put my son up for adoption.”
