Terrence O'Hara began his entertainment career in the late 1970s as an actor, appearing on two episodes of the soap "Ryan's Hope"and landing bit roles on "Mrs. Columbo," "The Greatest American Hero," and "Voyagers!." He even fit in some feature films during that time with a small part in "Something Short of Paradise" and two B-action/thrillers titled "The Devastator" and "Naked Vengeance." He turned to the more stable and lucrative game of television directing, where he has excelled for more than 20 years. He landed continual jobs from 1992 to 1995 on both "Renegade" and "Silk Stalkings." In the next few years, he helmed 10 episodes of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" and found recurring work on "Promised Land" and "The Pretender." Episodic jobs on various sci-fi and crime dramas kept him busy while he repeatedly worked as a director for "JAG," "Angel," "Smallville," and "The Unit" throughout the 2000s. He has parlayed his 2005 success with "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" into multiple gigs with "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service." Terrence O'Hara died on December 5, 2022 at the age of 76.
