Monie Love brought her musical talents to a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. Love's music was included in some films, such as "Boyz N The Hood" (1991) with Laurence Fishburne. She kept working in film throughout the nineties, starring in the Dr. Dre comedy "Who's the Man?" (1993). She also appeared in the TV special "Growing Up in the Age of AIDS: An ABC News Town Meeting For the Family -- With Peter Jennings" (ABC, 1991-92). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Strapped" (HBO, 1992-93). Love also created music for the comedy "Class Act" (1992) with Christopher "Kid" Reid. Most recently, Love appeared on the documentary "A Darker Side of Black" (1995) with Shabba Ranks.
