Julie Powell

Julie Powell was an American author and blogger best known for her project, the "Julie/Julia Project," where she set out to cook all 524 recipes from Julia Child's iconic cookbook, "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," over the course of a year.

She documented her culinary adventures in a blog that gained a large following. This project was later adapted into a successful book titled "Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen," which was eventually re-released as "Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously."

Her story was further popularized by the 2009 film "Julie & Julia," starring Amy Adams as Julie Powell and Meryl Streep as Julia Child. Powell's work has been influential in the realms of cooking, blogging, and memoir writing.
