As one half of the famous comedy duo the Jerky Boys, Johnny Brennan endeared himself to fans the world over. A native of Queens, New York, Brennan began recording comedy skits and impressions using his father's reel-to-reel recorder when he was a child. By age eleven, he was pulling pranks like throwing his sister's life-sized doll off of the roof at passing cars. It was this particular incident that attracted the attention of numerous neighborhood kids, including Kamal Ahmed, who would later become Brennan's comedy partner. Brennan began recording the hilarious results of his own prank phone calls in the late-'80s using a speakerphone and a boom box. Soon, he and Ahmed were planning and performing their pranks under the name the Jerky Boys, and becoming an underground, bootleg sensation. They caught the attention of the record industry and released their self-titled debut comedy album in 1993. Two years later, they starred in "The Jerky Boys: The Movie" (1995) together. Their follow-up album, "The Jerky Boys 2" was nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Album. By the early-'00s, Ahmed moved on to a career as a film director, and Brennan began appearing as a voice actor on "The Family Guy" (Fox, 1999-) providing the voice of Mort Goldman. He would also continue to release comedy albums under the name The Jerky Boys, including 2007's "Sol's Rusty Trombone."
