Jan Smithers

Jan Smithers is an American actress best known for her role as Bailey Quarters on the popular TV series "WKRP in Cincinnati" (1978–1982). Her character, Bailey, was known for being intelligent, relatable, and subtly charming, making her a fan favorite.

Jan Smithers began her career with roles in "Love Story" (1973-74), "Where the Lilies Bloom" (1974) and the Scott Jacoby comedy "Our Winning Season" (1978). Smithers appeared in various other TV series and films during the 1970s and 1980s but largely stepped away from acting afterward, keeping a low public profile since then. Smithers's husband was James Brolin.
