Tognoni began her career with roles in "One Life to Live" (1967-2010), "ABC's Independence Day Concert" (ABC, 1994-95) and "Hot Summer Soaps" (ABC, 1994-95). Tognoni won an Outstanding Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy Award for "Guiding Light" in 2005 as well as an Outstanding Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy Award for "Guiding Light" in 2007.
